As Movember draws to an end men everywhere ready themselves to bid farewell to their little hairy friends.
Whether thick a lustrous or curled and scattered each Moe has grown to be one of the most prized possessions of the male Brisbanite.
Inevitably however the time has to come where one must say goodbye to their healthy crop of lip foliage. While ladies everywhere breath a collective sigh of relief, a man needs to ask himself, “ How do I give my Moe the burial it deserves?â€.
Brisbane rock trio Faleepo Francisco have provided answer with a night of entertainment at The Tempo Hotel celebrating all things hairy. Â After all, what could be manlier than a room full of moustaches, raising awareness for men’s health through music.
Hitting the stage for their final show of the year Faleepo Francisco have pledged to donate all the nights proceeds including band merchandise and payments to Movember Australia. “Someone close to me is a prostate cancer survivor, hearing what he went through made us think, this was something we could really help out with†said drummer Jack Dean.Â
A barber will also be on hand during the event ready to give your fuzzy friend the chop for a donation.“We figured people would be shaving them off at home the next day anyway, so why not do it in style?†said Jack.
The action packed night is set to be one of musical, the all local lineup also including fresh faced Plateau Parade followed by indie rockers Windrest. “The line up works really well. We all just aim to make music that everyone enjoys listening to as much as we enjoy playing it,†said Faleepo lead guitarist Rhys Roberts.
So to give your little guy a better send off than the bathroom sink head on to the Tempo Bar this Saturday for one of the Manliest nights of the year. “All the more reason for ladies to come,” said the boys.
