Your weekend plans are sorted with two fabulous fashion events coming your way.

Kicking off on Saturday the 15th of May there will be an installation entitled Radical Localism.

“Radical Localism is an installation, community intervention and symposium that showcases Brisbane’s independent fashion community.”

“Co-designed by artisan and Practice Studio, and in collaboration with QUT Fashion, the event aims to highlight Brisbane’s growing cohort of skilled makers and designers.”

If you are someone who loves supporting Brisbane’s growing cohort, or someone who supports sustainable clothing then this event is for you.

The installation will be taking action between 10:00am and 4:00pm and is located at 45 King Street, Bowen Hills.

Parking is free for three hours and there is no entry cost, so why not go enjoy a day of free creative exposition.

Make sure to rest up because there is another fantastic event on Sunday the 16th of May starting at 10:00am.

Beyond DV is holding their annual High Tea and fashion show at The Marquee in Herston.

The event will be raising funds for women and children impacted by Domestic Violence.

“Guests will enjoy High Tea fare and a showcase by iconic Brisbane Arcade Fashion Designers.”

Tickets are $79 each with all proceeds going to Beyond DV, you can purchase your tickets here.

Each guest will be receiving a mimosa upon arrival and of course will be enjoying a decadent High Tea.

So start picking out your outfits for the up-coming weekend, a weekend filled to the brim with fabulous fashion on your doorstep.
