New Music From Jarryd James + Album Announce!

It seems only fair that, amongst the madness that has been 2020, we should also find ourselves uncovering little gems of happiness. Today, with the announcement of his forthcoming second album, P.M., and the release of first taste ‘Miracles’, Jarryd James has given us just that!

Five years ago, ‘Do You Remember’ changed the course of Jarryd James’ life. Since then the Brisbane-based artist has reached 450 million streams, won an ARIA Award and toured the world playing headline shows, iconic festivals and supporting the likes of Two Door Cinema Club and Jack Garrett.

Debut album Thirty One reached number five on the ARIA album charts and featured two platinum-selling singles and, if new release, ‘Miracles’ is anything to go by P.M. is set for even greater heights. Described as the next evolutionary step for Jarryd James, P.M. took shape over eighteen months across studios in Los Angeles, Nicaragua, Brisbane, Auckland and New York.

For his sophomore album, Jarryd James has worked with a handpicked list of stellar producers including Clams Casino (A$AP Rocky, Vince Staples), Malay Ho (Frank Ocean, John Legend, Alicia Keys), FrancisGotHeat (Drake, Travis Scott) and Joel Little (Khalid, Lorde). But despite huge success, big name producers and diverse studio locales, Jarryd James has maintained his humble and unassuming style and P.M. is a collection of nine deeply seductive R&B tracks set for release on January 22, 2021.

‘Miracles’, out today, was written and recorded in Nicaragua. Sonically the track conveys feelings of disorientation, and the blurring of time, evoked by the Nicaraguan jungle. The new release is also accompanied by a stunning music video, directed by Mick Soiza, and featuring animations by New York based animator James Siewert. As Soiza explains “‘Miracles’ allows you to enter the multi-layered world of Jarryd’s psyche – where we experience his inner thoughts, struggles and realisations.”.
