Paddington Deli & Epicerie

Paddington Deli & Epicerie

| On 26, Nov 2014

Among the old brick covered, character filled end of Latrobe Terrace sits Paddington Deli and Epicerie, a deli and café that offers amazing breakfast, lunch and take home products that merges European flavour with a Lebanese twist.

Their Spring menu, out now, offers choices that range from light and refreshing to hearty and filling, but the consistent thread is that they are all delicious.

Zucchini and Corn Fritters ($14.90)

For those of us who are gluten challenged, but still want something that is full of flavour, the buckwheat zucchini and corn fritters are your number one choice. The fritters themselves are so tasty, and the buckwheat gives them density and substance. Topped with pickled onions and an avocado salsa this gluten-free favourite leaves you full and happy, but with no heavy feeling afterwards. Definitely one of the best ways to start the day on a warm morning.

Potato Rosti with Scrambled Eggs and Smoked Salmon ($15.50)

More of a hash brown fan? This delicious potato rosti is golden and crispy on the outside with a light and fluffy centre- the way a rosti should be. Topped with creamy scramble, refreshing smoked salmon, and flavour filled fried baby capers, this breakfast hits all the flavour marks. If you aren’t a salmon fan this can be swapped for bacon, but salmon is definitely the way to go.

Deli Museli ($12.90)

If you are after a healthy and refreshing option the deli-made toasted museli is a winner. With oats, pepitas and an abundance of toasted goodies this museli is simply delightful, and can be purchased on its own from the deli for brekky goodness all week long. Topped with natural yohgurt, fresh strawberries and crisp and refreshing grated apple this dish is simply perfect for a Brissy morning. With a jug of milk so you can create your own museli consistency it is perfect every time.

Spring Frappe ($7)

To keep with the simple, tasty and refreshing theme that runs in the café this frappe made from carrot, orange, apple, lime, mint and ginger is an energizer in a glass. A perfect replacement for a coffee if you want a natural pick me up, or in our case a great after brekky and coffee chill out drink.

With a full lunch menu, a stocked deli and catering options Paddington Deli and Epicerie has so much to offer. So what are you waiting for?
