Pants off Friday at Jude Kitchen and Bar

Friday nights are meant for dancing; for letting the wine and the good times flow. They’re meant for meeting up with friends for post work or uni drinks and to promptly forget all the woes of the past 5 days.
So when a bar on Eagle St Pier hosts a Pants off Friday every week, you know it’s the place to start the weekend properly.
Every Friday night, Jude Kitchen & Bar has specials for tapas and cocktails. Their Happy Hour is also to die for with 2-for-1 wines and beer from 5-7pm. Any bar that offers a glass of Knappstein Riesling for $5 is bound to become my best friend.
A Friday night should require minimal fuss and Jude makes all the decisions easy. Sample cocktail specials include a Green Tea Mojito, which is a deliciously refreshing blend of Bacardi, Soda and Green Tea spiked with mint and lime served by the glass for $15. Please and thank you.
Or, for the thirstier patrons, a cocktail jug is available, such as the most recent version of ‘The Patron Saint’ which mixes dry gin, Saint Germaine Elderflower Liqueur and apple juice with fresh lemon and lime, all for a meagre $30.
Pour me a bucket of both.
And when a tapas menu serves universal favourites such as salt and pepper calamari, arancini balls, olives and chickpea koftas, you know you’ll be nibbling away for hours.
Plates of meat, cheese and antipasto are perfect for grazing while the heartier tapas options of patatas bravas fried in duck fat, southern fried chicken and Thai chicken spring rolls will line any belly with pleasure.
So if you’re looking for a place to start your Friday night, look no further than Jude. With a seriously relaxed vibe and the friendliest of staff, you can catch up on the week of goss with your friends over a glass of wine. Or two.
