Paul McDermott, the man who coined the term ‘Hardcore Cabaret’, returns to Brisbane for two shows only.

McDermott was born in Brisbane and is known for his work as a comedian, actor, writer, director, singer, artist and television host.

He has featured in comedy groups such as Good News Week and musical comedy group Doug Anthony All Stars.

Along with hosting two other ABC programs, briefly featuring as a morning radio presenter on Triple J and hosting Good News Week until it was axed in 2012.

A frequent performer at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, McDermott is no stranger to the stage.

Performing in an array of different environments, Paul decided to express his artistic nature by pursuing his painting career.

Now venturing into cabaret, his current show was born out of his celebrated Art Exhibition, The Dark Garden.

Truly a master of all arts, Paul McDermott is a performer not to be missed.

“Intimate. Epic. Beautiful. And strangely revealing” (Brisbane Powerhouse).
