Prepare the outfits: James St Up Late returns

After more than two years in hiatus, Brisbane’s favourite late night fashion event is back in June, offering exclusives you won’t want to miss.
Have you ever found yourself wandering around James St late at night after dining at one of the wonderful nearby restaurants and just wished it wasn’t too late to buy that linen shirt in the window at Venroy, or the pink cardigan on the mannequin at Scanlan Theodore?
Well, now is the time to celebrate, because for one night in the year all your late night shopping dreams can be realised at James St Up Late.
The event which will be held on Thursday the 24th of June from 5-8pm is open to all and promises goodie bags, entertainment from resident DJs, special guests, and exclusive offers from over 60 James Street retailers.
Offers for attendees will include discounts ranging from 20 to 50%, and presents with purchases. More details will be released closer to the event, but Australian designers Bec + Bridge, Gorman, and Bassike are among those offering exclusive deals.
This year the event will double as a celebration of the talent that lines the street, with local stars of international renown, Natasha and Alex Chipman of Natasha Schweitzer, Gail Sorronda, and Angelique Andronis of By Baby all appearing at the event.
St. Agni designer Lara Fells, who will also be making an appearance, spoke of the importance of the night.
“James St Up Late is such an important event to bring the community together, celebrate the wonderful businesses that call James St home, and showcase the extraordinary talent we have in our backyard.”
The famous Fortitude Valley street is home to a diversity of great brands including Calexico, Nudie Jeans, Auguste, and Dinosaur Designs.
So rally your most fashionable friends and check out James St Up Late. The Creative Issue will be there too so be sure to keep an eye out for our wrap of this not to be missed event.
