For all of you who love the drama and beauty of ballet costumes and scenery, brace yourself for some very exciting news. Queensland Ballet has become short on space for their upcoming productions and are therefore bidding farewell to some of their gorgeous pieces.
From the major stage to your very own home, take advantage of this costume and scenery sale and stock up on these beautiful handmade items. Expect to trawl through unique character and period costumes, dresses, leotards, men’s jackets, vests and pants. There is also a very limited amount of tutus so beat the crowd to score one of those beauties.
Also up for grabs are striking headpieces, jewellery and a large variety of fabric remnants to create your very own one-of-a-kind pieces. It won’t cost you an arm and a leg to secure your own piece of the Queensland ballet either; with pieces starting at just $5 and the majority of items priced under $100.
Scenery and prop items will be displayed throughout a detailed photo-catalogue on the day, and will also become available on the Queensland Ballet website after the sale. Each of these inimitable pieces is stunning whether worn or on display as your own extraordinary piece of performance history.
