Whether you are dreaming of a career in theatre, enjoy going to the theatre, or just have a general love for great experiences (who doesn’t?), then Theatre Residency Week is for you.

For over forty years, the Queensland Theatre Company has offered the amazing Theatre Residency Week for students in years 9-12, which is an in-house program held for a week during the September school holidays.

It is the perfect opportunity for students to strengthen their skills and learn plenty of new ones in the development workshops. Students also get to view live performances by professionals and network with leading artists.

Aussie theatre greats that have graced the program with their presence in the past include Geoffrey Rush, Deborah Mailman, and QTC’s Artistic Director, Wesley Enoch. There is no doubt that this year’s lineup will be just as sensational.

The Theatre Residency Week 2014 is truly an opportunity of a lifetime for students who are passionate about the stage. You will leave the program feeling enthusiastic and motivated about your future in the theatre. Not to mention all the interesting new friends you will inevitably make after connecting with over one hundred like-minded young people from all over Queensland.
