The new dead line is 5:00pm Friday, July 12th.

For those of you who weren’t too worried about finishing or making progress on your manuscript, I suggest you get a move on and get writing.

The QWC/Hachette Australian Manuscript Development Program offers up to 10 emerging fiction and non-fiction writers the chance to working with editors from Hachette Australia to develop high-quality manuscripts.

Queensland Writers Centre Chief Executive Officer, Meg Vann has said, “This program is any emerging writers’ best chance at trade publication, since it strengthens not just the manuscript, but the author. It builds networks and knowledge that kick-start a writing career.

“The opportunity for writers to immerse themselves in the world of publishing is so rare – again and again, I have seen this program transform writers’ lives.”
