Red Bull Flying Bach Dances Its Way To QPAC

Following 2013’s sell-out shows in Melbourne and Sydney, Red Bull Flying Bach is making its highly anticipated return to Australia to complete its first national tour. Let’s thank our lucky stars that Brisbane is on their “to do†list this time around.
Multi award winning breakdance crew, Flying Steps, smashes the boundaries between classical and urban art forms to present a unique and unrestricted dance style. Classical meets breakdance in this explosive fuse of the masterpieces of visionary 18th century composer, Johann Sebastian Bach.
A story that revives and envisages Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier is created as piano, harpsichord and electronic beats are combined with head spins and ballet steps.
Vartan Bassil, choreographer and mastermind behind Red Bull Flying Bach, says:
“Our first visit to Australia in 2013 was a huge success, and we’re really excited that this time we can take the production to followers of the urban and classical worlds across multiple states and cities.
Red Bull Flying Bach really offers something unique – it introduces classical music to the street scene, but also allows high art fans to experience the best in urban dance.”
Red Bull Flying Bach turns the international classical world upside down in this innovative performance, that crosses the borders of serious music and youth culture. Tickets are no doubt going to sell at the speed of light for this one; so don’t miss out on your chance to experience this electrifying clash of cultures.
