Runways for Refuge

The Good Sams Foundation is inviting you to an inaugural fashion event that supports awareness for the women and children affected by domestic violence – “Runways for Refuge”.

The Runways for Refuge concept was developed by Goods Sams Foundation to raise response and vital funds for the women and children affected by domestic violence.

Good Sams Foundation spokesperson Nicole Roberts said, “Although this is the first Runways for Refuge, the proceeds from ticket sales will go directly towards assisting the women and children in Good Sams supported safe houses.”

The event will be held on Thursday, 21 June at the Lady Lamington from 6pm and is being sponsored by Veuve Clicquot,  Lady Lamington, Viviens Models, Frock Shop, Wotif and the Emporium Hotel.

The night promises fashions that will be flowing from FrockShop’s designers who are dedicated to the strong, the beautiful, the fun, the forward, and the feminine. This season’s hottest looks of the from home-grown and international cutting edge labels Zimmermann, Camilla and Marc, Magdalena Velevska and Rachel Gilbert .

To add to that, Ita Buttrose AO OBE, legendary media editor, businesswoman and best-selling author, will be the guest speaker at the fashion parade.

Guests will have an opportunity to hear her talk about her stellar career and her views on standing up against domestic violence.

“Ita Buttrose will be staying for the entire event and is looking forward to spending time with the guest on the night.”

“What else could you need!” said Nicole, “Of course there will be fabulous food, French champagne and interesting company.”
