Sassin Fras at Black Bear Lodge

If getting your fix of live music on the weekend just isn’t quite enough for you, then you’re in luck!
Get your dose of mid-week music with rock duo Sassin Fras.
The Gold Coast boys, made up of Adam Adams (drummer) and Robert Cosgrove (guitarist), are bringing their 90’s influenced rock/grunge/pop tunes to Black Bear Lodge this Wednesday night.
The duo formed early last year and managed to release their debut EP, Paperback Cowboy, within an impressive two months. Sassin Fras are now doing pretty well for themselves as they recently supported Queens of the Stone Age for one night only in Sydney on March 6, 2014.
Their sound is inspired by artists such as Daniel Johns, Nirvana and The Dandy Warhols and has a pop/grunge feel that is nicely balanced by catchy melodies and energetic riffs. Their latest single, ‘Madeline’, which is currently getting a fair bit of play time on Triple J’s Unearthed station, has a raw grunge inspired sound with the perfect amount of pop thrown in.
You can catch Sassin Fras at Black Bear Lodge this Wednesday along with Roku Music and Cassette Cathedral. Check out the clip to their previous single, ‘Jellyfish’, below.
