Skating At comes to Brisbane
Are you searching for a family friendly outing during the Winter school holidays, wanting to plan a unique and romantic date night or simply have a laugh with your mates? Look no further as Skating At is (dare I say it) the coolest place to be this Winter.
As the temperature drops in Brisbane, embrace the ice and get your skates on to enjoy the pop up ice skating festival ‘Skating At’, located in the heart of King George Square. The festival is partnering with the North American airline Skytrax to bring you the Air Canada Ice Rink and a true Canadian après-ski experience.
The festival is ideal for all ages and skill levels, right through from beginner to advanced. If you need a little helping hand (myself included) Kanga the blue kangaroo is there to help keep you upright on the ice.
Next up is The Runway. Grab your mates and a snow tube and hang on tight as you cut through the chill and speed down the slope on this thrilling ice ride.
Lastly it’s time to thaw out and get cosy in the Maple Leaf Bar, offering a wide range of hot and cold drinks. Take a walk around The Winter Market, letting the smell of all the delicious food make your stomach rumble. With stalls selling Greek cuisine, wood fired pizza, ‘Chips from around the world’ and mouth watering doughnuts, you won’t be stuck for choice.
