Station Street Foodstore, Fairfield

Station Street Foodstore is a staple to the locals.
This hole-in-the-wall cafe offers great food and (average) coffee at decent prices.
Situated between the fish and chip shop and UFS pharmacy on Station Street, this cafe caters to the hungry bellies of neighbouring businesses. It is a hot spot for the students of local NMIT due to the reasonable prices of the products.
I have gone in a few times and every single time the food has been filling and wholesome while still maintaining flavour. The pumpkin patty/salmon patty/chicken patty are all guaranteed to sate your hunger. You can pair it with a side salad (which changes daily) for $12.00.
The food offered in the display fridge is all cooked fresh, daily by the chef. The eggplant sandwich is only $5.00 and it is packed full of flavour. While fried eggplant is usually a vegetarian option, beware! This eggplant sandwich has ham in it.
Staff are friendly without being overwhelming; they are always happy to have a chat. The decor is plain and simple (a little on the boring side) but that doesn’t matter, the food and prices are what will keep you going again and again.
Station Street Foodstore is a place for the locals—where you can get a good meal at a decent price every time.
