Bringing a splash of colour, hand-made and locally sourced leather, Stitch & Co are all about supporting the crafts of shoe making in their pledge to bring sustainable shoe production to the forefront of Brisbane’s newest shopping extravaganza.
The store incorporates the need for sustainable leather production here in Australia as well as the need to connect with artisans and craftsman. In the hope to start conversations to raise awareness about where our clothes come from, the new shop has an ambitious story to tell.
At Stitch & Co you can find hand-made shoes from designers of Balinese, Spanish, Albanian and South African culture, design, colours and materials.
Capturing delicate wooden tones that blend well with the antique 150 year old Balinese door, customers can’t help but feel encapsulated by the story of its shoes many origins.
Having found the need to create and manufacturer shoes that are hand crafted, delicately made and unique in style, Stitch & Co bring a breath of fresh air to the over-saturated leather industry through local production and support.
Working closely with Dollana Penu the shoe designer who sources her leather from the Kuta leather market, The stitch story is one of inspiration in a step towards transparent shoe fashion.
