Stones Corner Fest Returns This April To Rock It Out

| On 18, Apr 2017

Are you a fan of beer, food, music and markets? you might be interested in the Stones Corner Festival, coming to the iconic Brisbane suburb late this month.

Four years ago this humble event began and it has fast become a staple on every foodie or musicians calendar. This year will feature exclusively local talent, a variety of food, music and drink and will give a chance for the local community to come together and celebrate our Brissie community.

Paul Kratzmann, of the Stones Corner Hotel, spoke with The Creative Issue about what to expect: “We’re closing down all of Logan Road on the Stones Corner side itself so there’ll be street stall markets at one end … Our headlining act is Regurgitator in the evening as well as Sahara Beck, I Heart Hiroshima, Hemingway, Luke Daniel Peacock, and then a local band, The Stress of Leisure. Actually, all of this year’s bands are Brisbane based bands.

So we have 17 craft breweries on board for the day and 10 food trucks. So craft  breweries with the likes of Stone and Wood, Fixation, Fortitude, Newstead Brewery, Mismatch, quite a few.” Other activities include petting zoos and a jumping castle for the young and young at heart. Additionally this year’s event-goers will have the opportunity to enjoy a “giant beer garden area” and kick back and relax on the long weekend.
