Stones Corner Festival

| On 24, May 2016

“Ending the weekend the right way”

Returning for its third consecutive year, the Stones Corner Festival (sponsored by the Stones Corner Hotel) comes back to electrify this busy little nook of Brisbane with a crazy music line-up, food-trucks and of course, some of Australia’s best craft beer and cider brewers.

Headlining the festival are ARIA Award winners, Taxiride whom are ‘creepin’ up slowly’ on their return tour and triple ARIA Award winners The Badloves. Top it off with some fantastic local Brissy bands, Mexico City and  Halfway and Brisbane locals, Tyrone Noonan and Triple J Unearthed artist, Donnelle Brooks. Hold on to your pint of beer, because this right here is your gateway to a great afternoon of live Aussie music.

Speaking of beer, Brisbane-ite’s are going mental over the latest craft beer and cider breweries. The Stones Corner Festival will be showcasing a wide variety of Australia’s best craft beer including the James Squires range, Byron Bay’s Stone & Wood as well as Batlow Cider, Little Creatures and Mountain Goat. There are tonnes more on offer; you’ll just have to come see for yourself!

It’s hard to enjoy a cold beverage without some of Brisbane’s finest and enticing food to chow down. A diverse range of food trucks and stalls will be available through The World Food Markets with some delicacies from Carolina Kitchen, Al’s Smokin Pizza, Greek Street Kantina and More! If purchasing food from the markets ain’t your thing, then don’t forget about the restaurants and café’s available on the street throughout the festival.

Go for a wander throughout the market space as Saber Events is running over 100 stallholders including: homewares, gifts, art, craft, speciality food, ice cream, sweets, entertainment: kids performances, face painting, jumping castle, petting zoo, arts and craft, books, jewellery, fashion, plants and children’s toys.

The festival is also once again supporting the MND and Me Foundation, which in 2015 raised $7,500 for awareness on Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

There is something here for every generation and it’s FREE so you can’t say no! The Stones Corner Festival 2016 is a fantastic way to unwind with your friends and family after a chaotic week.
