Calling all foodies of Brisbane! The Stores welcomes you to a revamped version of a providore’s paradise.
The Stores is bringing a European shopping experience to West End, drawing in sophisticated shoppers from all over Brisbane and transporting them to a supermarket somewhere in Italy – think wall-to-wall fresh produce, meats, cheeses, and jar upon jar of delicious condiments.
The Stores is all about supporting local farmers and producers and is a new venture from the Schulte family, who have been in the fresh meat and small goods business since 1952. After checking out their extensive range of locally sourced meat and small goods in the butchery, be sure to wander through the rest of the expansive space to see what curiosities might catch your eye.
The Stores market is joined by The Source Bulk Foods, bringing wall-to-wall bulk goods for an interactive, no waste shopping experience- remember to bring your own bottles and containers as they are proudly plastic bag-free.
Choose from an impressive range of bulk whole foods including nuts, seeds, grains, herbs, spices, flour and more than is imaginable. Health foods and a range of paleo, gluten free, organic and vegan products are available too.
The fruit and vegetable section features a walk in cold-room to ensure customers take home the highest quality produce and the temperature controlled fromagerie is a one-of-a-kind experience too.
Something missing you say? Soon to join The Stores is a fresh offering from Jocelyn Hancock of James Streets’ famous Jocelyn’s Provisions, bringing their nationwide reputation for bread, cakes and pastries to the table.
If you work up an appetite whilst browsing all of the foodie delights, head over to the nearby London Fields gastropub for a bite to eat, where hearty pub food is the focus, along with a fresh and interesting bar menu.
Lazy Sundays at The Stores include the chance to indulge in a public cheese and wine tasting from 12pm- the perfect accompaniment to a glamorous weekend grocery shop.
