A bit over seeing the same American rom-coms or action movies the cinemas are putting out? Fear not the Spanish Film Festival is coming to break you free of your boredom!
The festival is at the Palace Barracks and Centro cinemas from May 1 – 14. Donâ€™t miss out on some â€˜reel inspiracionâ€™ the festival has an array of award-winning films. Whether youâ€™re into emotional road-trips, spirited comedies, spicy rom-coms, suspenseful thrillers, stylish dramas or everyoneâ€™s favourite battles-of-the-sexes, the Spanish Film Festival has something for everyone!
Special events in Brisbane include an opening night screening of Living is easy with eyes closed (a Queensland premiere) followed by a party with drinks, tapas and live entertainment at the Palace Barracks on May 1.
Perhaps youâ€™ve always wanted master the art of robbery? On May 7 youâ€™ll have the chance to see To fool a thief accompanied by wine, Argentinean flavours and live entertainment.
Maybe humour is more your thing? Closing night features a screening of the madly entertaining Witching and Bitching, including sangria and tapas.
