Beloved Brisbane music venue The Zoo has announced that they will be reopening their doors with a series of gigs starting July 11th and the phrase ‘anti-social’ has never sounded so good.

The Zoo’s Anti-Social series will be the venue’s welcome back for live music following their closure on March 18 due to the Coronavirus pandemic. By the time the first show in series kicks off it will have been 16 long weeks of waiting for fans and bands.

The series will take place across Friday and Saturday nights throughout July and August and will feature more than 30 acts across the 15 shows announced. In announcing the Anti-Social series yesterday The Zoo have said the shows will be “centred around embracing change and adapting to new thought process while focusing on and supporting local and grassroots artists”.

The stellar series will feature the likes of Butterfingers, Bugs, The Dreggs, Concrete Surfers, Asha Jeffries, Total Pace and COLTS to name only a few.

Each of the shows will at all times be working within approved Covid safe plans but will aim to give fans an authentic live music experience while adhering to relevant restrictions and guidelines.

Tickets for all shows of the Anti-Social series go on sale at 10AM on Thursday June 11 but will be strictly limited to 100 per show and will be sure to sell out quickly.
