Three Beauty Trends to Try Out This Spring

The days are longer, the sun shines brighter and the flowers more vibrant; Spring is here. A time for growth, new beginnings and fresh starts, Spring is also the perfect time to Spring-clean your makeup routine!
International Spring/Summer 2014 catwalk looks saw dewey, freckled faces, bold pops of pigment as well as more subtler washes of colour, dove greys, goddess glows, cool white liner… the list goes on.
Trying to re-appropriate these catwalk makeup looks can be a daunting task and one that doesn’t always go to plan, so we’ve created a list of our top three favourite Spring beauty trends bound to inspire you to mix up your makeup this season.
 1. Subtle washes of colour
It can be all too easy to get stuck in a beige-brown rut, especially when you have your smokey-eye game down pat. Let the fresh blooms of Spring remind you that colour shouldn’t be treated like a game of Operation; splashing a bit of colour on your lids won’t kill ya.
2. Orange lips
Running late for work? lost your eyeliner? or maybe you’re just a low-maintenance gal; orange lips can be a fab way to pump a bit of attitude into any look. Pair these bold smackers with glowing skin, minimal eye makeup and understated, clean outfits for a funky-fresh Spring feel.
3. Bronze glow
In Queensland it always seems like Winter comes and goes in the blink of an eye; before you know it it’s 30 degrees outside and everyone around you looks like they just got back from St Tropez. Everyone but you right?! Join the golden gals with a spring in their step and dust a little bronzer over the high points of your face to give you that holiday-fresh high. Fake it till you make it… or just fake it always, cos sun-safety.
