TyDi returns to the Family

Returning to his residency for the night, Aussie DJ ,TyDi, set the room alight at the Family in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.
Born and bred on the Sunshine Coast, TyDi gained his residency at the Family before he became an international hit. Now a winner of countless awards and with more than a few brilliant festivals under his belt, he’s touring the world club by club.
TyDi’s music is a nod to international greats such as Armin Van Burren, but with an original undercurrent in all of his music that makes even the most lethargic keen to get up and move.
Known for his collaborations, remixes and original works, songs such as Nothing Really Matters, Acting Crazy and Live This Lie showcase the talent this home-grown legend has up his sleeve.
Often manipulating the high notes of a woman’s vocal scale, many of TyDi’s songs feature steadily building beats with quiet bridges and powerful instrumental pieces.
With three knock-out performances in Brisbane these past few months, we sadly won’t be seeing TyDi much over Christmas with his final Australian tour dates set to hit Darwin, Sydney, Perth and Melbourne.
But don’t let that dishearten you too much.
This clubbing legend seems to know where home is and we’ll be sure to see him gracing our stages soon.
For those of us entirely unable to wait, just hold in there until the 22nd November when TyDi’s next album Hotel Rooms is released on iTunes.
With 25 highly anticipated sounds coming your way a little birdy told me that pre-ordering it now will be cheaper. Hint hint.
