VIHN - Sustainable Fashion Label

From the team who brought us Undress Runways and Naked Magazine, their next venture VIHN is sure to be no less than impressive.
The word VIHN is derived from an Icelandic word meaning ‘friend’ and will be the title for the group’s latest project, a sustainable fashion label. Edda Hamar, the founder and managing director of Undress Runways said “We chose the name VIHN because we often forget that there are real people behind our clothes, real people, just like you and I.”
They have partnered with an ethical workspace in Cambodia called Lotus Silk, with the fashion produced being sustainable while also directly funding projects at Lotus Silk. It is a win-win-win.
The idea behind VIHN is to create garments with a unique aesthetic, that people don’t necessarily associate with sustainable fashion. It is all about empowering clothes that are versatile and functional and that get people talk about the real issue within the fashion industry.
In order to help the team get up and running, they have created a crowdfunding campaign which can be accessed here:Â Startsomegood.com/vihn. If you want to see something different hitting the fashion arena, and something with a little social consciousness too, then supporting these guys in their bid to rid the world of unsustainable fashion is your first step.
