Thousand Island Dressing – no, not the salad garnish! – is a quirky, unique jewellery store found in three fashion-forward locations around Brisbane; Paddington, Bulimba, and New Farm.

The store features necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, brooches, handbags, purses…any accessory a girl could ever want.

Thousand Island Dressing also stocks an impressive variety of homewares. Think candles, lamps, wall decals, and of course, jewellery stands.

When you walk inside you’ll see the layout is arranged artfully by designer and colour scheme. Thousand Island Dressing’s own designs are presented throughout the store, all sorted by colour. Silver on your immediate left, gold ahead of you, bright colours towards the back.

It’s quite an experience to walk through the store and see what it has to offer.

There are also special cases along the walls that display external designers, such as Aliss & Ena, Kay Winston, and That Vintage.

Above are a few of the pieces that I own, love, and wear all the time. All at affordable prices, the origami crane necklace and elephant ring are two of my favourites. As you can probably tell I am also a big fan of pink so I could never resist the statement bracelet and sweet pink doll necklace.

A quick word to the wise: each piece is get-it-while-you-see-it, because they have a very high and fast stock turnover so if you see something you love, grab it, because it probably won’t be there the next time you pop in for a visit.

If you are ever in the vicinity of a Thousand Island Dressing store I highly recommend checking it out, they have something for everyone and cover all budgets and occasions.
