Brisbane’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival is almost here! Whip out your diaries and take note of what’s on during our very own fashion week, from the 24th to the 29th of August.

Sunday 24 August

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Luncheon: MBFF will kick off in style at Black Bird Bar and Grill for an exclusive Mercedes-Benz event.

Monday 25 August

The Fashion Bar: Food and drinks will be provided before and after events in King George Square. Admission is free and it will be open from 5:00pm ’til late every day of the week.

Epicure VIP Runway Lounge: For VIPs and Gold Reserve holders, the lounge will be open 75 minutes before each show with drinks, canapés, and the chance to rub shoulders with models and designers. Gold Reserve also guarantees premium seating, but tickets are limited so get in quick if this is up your alley!

Myer Spring/Summer ’15 Fashion Show: Myer is a Gold Partner this year, and also the opening act. The latest collections from designers Alex Perry, SASS & BIDE, Wayne Cooper, Toni Maticevski, Aurelio Costarella, and more will be there on opening night. Reserved Seating: $54, Gold Pass: $150. 7:00pm.

Tuesday 26 August

The Fashion Bar and Epicure VIP Runway Lounge

Dress To Impress For Less: A free admission pavilion in King George Square, the Lifeline pop up shop will have pre-loved designer and vintage pieces available for sale. Open from 9:00am-3:00pm.

Accessories In Bloom: All things accessories, the Brisbane Arcade will be showcasing jewellery, handbags, shoes, and more. Tickets are $50 and will include food and drinks. 5:30-7:00pm.

A Discussion About Luxury: Dr Nadia Buick, co-directer of The Fashion Archives, will host a free discussion in the State Library about luxury culture. She will be joined by a panel of experts partnered with the MBFF. Certainly not one to miss if you’re a fashion lover. 6:30pm.

Monili Jewellers Bridal Group Show: Monili have put together gorgeous pieces for 14 bridal gowns by designers such as Brides Desire by Wendy Sullivan, Bertossi Brides, George Wu, Regalia Bridal Designs by Rayner Lee, Darb Bridal Couture and Jack Sullivan Bridal. Reserved Seating: $54, Gold Pass: $150. 7:00pm.

Emerging Designer Group Show: Straight after the Bridal Show is the Emerging Designer Show, featuring up-and-coming collections by Sinead James, Molachino, Begitta, Otim Ajalia, Anna Hulm, A Jacksonian Era, Emu Designs, Peony Swimwear, SUZII K, Stokes Thompson Designs and Erin Hassall Designs. Reserved Seating: $54, Gold Pass: $150. 8:30pm.

Wednesday 27 August

The Fashion Bar and Epicure VIP Runway Lounge

Queens Plaza High Tea and Fashion Trends: The Brisbane City hall will be filled with high tea and fashion from Queens Plaza. Tickets are $62. 10:00am.

Brisbane Arcade Group Show: Designers from the Brisbane Arcade will be featured on Wednesday night, including Bora, Darb Bridal Couture, Maiocchi, Pia du Pradal, Tengdahl, and new additions Daniel Lightfoot and Irma J Smith House of Fashion. Reserved Seating: $54, Gold Pass: $150. 7:00pm.

Mercedes-Benz Group Show 1: A huge highlight will be Mercedes-Benz’s first show of the week. Expect designs from White Label Noba, Lisa Brown, Molly & Polly Swimwear, Aqua Blu Swimwear, Heaven Swimwear, The 400 Co. and Sacha Drake and prepare for an unforgettable runway show. Reserved Seating: $54, Gold Pass: $150. 8:30pm.

Thursday 28 August

The Fashion Bar, Epicure VIP Runway Lounge and Queens Plaza High Tea and Fashion Trends

Fashion In The City Parade: This one is an invitation-only event featuring top fashion labels from all of our favourite CBD retailers. The Myer Centre, Queens Plaza, Wintergarden, Brisbane Arcade, Macarthur Central, Elizabeth Street and Albert Street will all be involved.

Collaborating in QLD: At the Artisan Gallery in the Valley, curators Nadia Buick and Madeleine King will chat with designers Carla Binotto and Carla Van Lunn about Queensland aesthetics, design, and sustainable fashion. Free admission. 6:00pm.

Mercedes-Benz Group Show 2: The second show by the fashion festival sponsors will feature collections from “experienced designers,” Talulah, Pistols at Dawn, George Wu, Jack Sullivan, Michelangelo, Chetcuti and Urbbana. Reserved Seating: $54, Gold Pass: $150. 7:00pm.

Mercedes-Benz Group Show 3: Kira, Ginger & Smart, Ted Baker, Lee Mathews and Easton Pearson designs will all be on the runway in the third and final group show by nine-years-running sponsors Mercedes-Benz. Definitely not one to miss out on. Reserved Seating: $54, Gold Pass: $150. 8:30pm.

Friday 29 August

Brisbane Arcade Fashion Oasis: Rounding off the week will be a free event in the Brisbane Arcade. Have a look at the latest and greatest pieces from the arcade’s designers over some lunch or high tea. 12:00 noon.

Mercedes-Benz Highlights Parade and Wrap Party: The finale show will see the return of the best of the best, as well of a two hour after party with cocktails and canapés galore. It will be the perfect way to end a great week of Brisbane’s best. Tickets are $150. 7:00pm.
