From November to the 15th of Febuary, The Future Beauty: 30 Years of Japanese Fashion exhibition will be on display at the Queensland  Art Gallery of Modern Art. The exhibition explores the tremendous innovation of Japanese fashion designers from the early 1980s to the present. With over 100 garments featured in the exhibition, ranging from the classic and elegant to outrageous, this will be a fascinating experience and rare opportunity to view these unique creations first hand. Tickets are $20 per adult and can be purchased online via the QAGOMA website or at the ticket office on the day.

Enjoy the summers breeze, spectacular views and popular christmas movies at Streets Beach, South Bank. Lie on a beach towel or have a dip in the pool while you enjoy a family fun christmas movie. Bookings are not required and the programme will run from Wednesday the 17th of December until Tuesday 23rd of December. Make sure you arrive early to secure a prime spot to enjoy the film. Below is a programme of upcoming films.
New Years Eve
And last but not least there is the spectacular light show at South Brisbane for New Years Eve. There are two firework displays this year with a family display at 6.30pm for the children and then the final countdown at 12pm to bring in the new year. Make sure to check official websites to see what is allowed in on the night as security is pretty tight and restrictions do apply. Public transport is also the better choice with road closures and traffic delays expected on the night.
