What’s On: Ziggy Plays Guitar

| On 19, Feb 2016

If you’re like me and have been spending the past month paying tribute to David Bowie in karaoke bars, then you’ll be excited to know that Brisbane is getting a dedicated Bowie tribute night at The Foundry. The Foundry and Mucho Bravo have spent the past few weeks working on bringing forth some of the most talented creatives to honour The Starman. With a lineup featuring the John Steel Singers, Dean McGrath (Rolls Bayce), Spencer White (Morning Harvey), WAAX, and Born Joy Dead, to name a few, there will be laughs, sing-alongs, and potentially some tears.

Mucho Bravo have kept in the spirit of the unpredictable Ziggy by giving the classic tribute a bit of a spin, “Ziggy Played Guitar will be a musical memorial unlike anything you’ve seen. No predictable, stale five-song sets. No traditional ‘one act after the other’ schedule. No rules. Just incredible, poignant moments created by Brisbane’s finest – and a whole lot of love.”

All proceeds will be going straight to the Cancer Council Queensland, so for $13 you can’t go wrong, and with new line up additions being added all week, tickets are selling fast.
